Jisenia Gonzales - Registrar

Jisenia GonzalesJisenia Gonzales is beginning her second year at Smith Academy and has been working in education since 2014. She is a MacArthur High School graduate and attended Texas Women University: Denton while majoring in US History.

Mrs. Gonzales is from Houston, Texas and is interested in movies, road trips, and reading about women's roles and strengths during historical time periods. Some of her favorite books include Spooky Night by Natalie Savage Carlson and The Juniper Game by Sherryl Jordan.

She is curious about why driving on mountains stresses her out.

Lucinda Pethan - Secretary/Bookkeeper


Lucinda PethanLucinda Pethan has been working at Smith Academy since 2013 and began working in education in 2010. She has earned a Bachelors from Escuela Normal para Educadoras.

Ms. Pethan is from Monterrey, Mexico and is interested in playing guitar, cooking, arts and crafts, and drawing. Some of her favorite books include novels from Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra and The Art of Reading by Manuel Michaus and Jesus Dominguez.

She is curious about how human health has advanced with the use of technology and science.

Cynthia Salas - Diagnostician Assistant

Cynthia SalasCynthia Salas has been at Smith Academy since 2002 and has been working in education since 2000.

Mrs. Salas is from San Benito, Texas and is interested in softball, hiking, and camping. She loves reading books written by Dr. Seuss and mystery books.

She is curious about everything.
