Joy Haugabook

Joy Haugabook is beginning her first year as a teacher at Smith Elementary. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human & Organizational Development and Spanish from Vanderbilt University. 

Ms. Haugabook is from St. Petersburg, FL and is interested in music, photography, reading, and cooking. Some of her favorite books include The Fire Next Time by James Baldwin and The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. 

She is curious about language and integrating technology into the classroom.

Jennifer Hill 

Jennifer Hill

Jennifer Hill has been working at Smith Academy since 2012 and has been working in education since 2007. She earned a Bachelors of Business Management in Human Resource Management from Abilene Christian University.

Mrs. Hill is from Dallas, Texas and is interested in making jewelry and spending time with her family. Some of her favorite books include Amazing Grace by Mary Hoffman and anything about history.

She is curious about learning about things from the past.

Alejandro Redondo

Alejandro RedondoAlejandro Redondo is beginning his third year at Smith Academy and has been working in education since 2009. He has earned a Physical Education Teacher and a Foreign Languages Teacher degrees from the University of Castilla-La Mancha, a Master in Innovation and Investigation in Education from National Distance University, and is currently working on his PhD

Mr. Redondo is from Toledo, Spain and is interested in music, running, and sports. Some of his favorite books include the Game of Thrones series from R.R. Martin and The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss.


He is curious about various cultures, educational systems, and innovation in education.
